We are looking for a Commercial Analyst to join a fast-growing food, ingredients and retail group behind some of the world’s most recognisable and loved brands.
The real draw of the role is the freedom and progression. You will be working under the Senior Commercial Analyst who has developed the function and now the commercial team are getting really rich insights from the data available. You'll be free to make recommendations as you see fit that have implications on the business strategy rather than a heavily structured role reporting on similar areas.
The role also has a clear career progression plan to be able to make recommendations to senior stakeholders initially from the models they have to then progressiong to a wider group role as the company fulfil's it's aim of becoming more data and insight led.
They are looking for someone with a strong analytical ability to utilise their skills in a client-side commercial environment, providing for strategic planning. You will be encouraged to constantly push your knowledge, using in-house statistical models to understand the economic behaviour of shoppers in defined categories. This is a role with huge potential to grow and to explore your own creative ideas within the business. You will be working on identifying key drivers of sales performance and using models to test hypothesis of how to move the business forward. It is an opportunity to deeply understand the intricacies in the optimisation of product success including pricing and distribution.

You will be someone with a genuine passion for generating meaningful from analysis of data and delivering that information to key stakeholders in the business. Alsoable to demonstrate the ability to creatively tackle a complex statistical challenge and answer with strong strategic recommendations.
You will also need to:
- Have a strong proficiency in data modelling and analysis (linear regression, price elasticity).
- Have confidence in your ability to run with ideas and explore new opportunities.
- Have a STEM degree and have a passion to further your learning.
- 2+ years’ experience.
- Someone with good story telling & influencing skills!
