Store development is at the heart of our client’s business - to deliver the very best to their customers and continue to build their business it is crucial that they understand why their stores trade the way they do through the application of location planning.
They are currently looking to recruit a Graduate Location Planning / Research Analyst to drive sustainable location research through the development, use and maintenance of their store research database and models. You will use customer data to visualise catchment areas and develop their local market knowledge and store performance information.
The ideal candidate will be a high calibre, recent graduate - educated to degree level (Geography 2.1 or above ideal, high ‘human’ element ie demographic analysis, urban planning, town planning, spatial analysis etc), be highly numerate and have a good understanding of statistics. You will be comfortable interpreting and presenting data to others. Strong SQL skills and good knowledge of Access, Excel, PowerPoint etc. A knowledge of GIS (Geographical Information Systems) and an experience in, or interest in, the retail sector would be an advantage.
